
Marta Camuffi (born in 1989) is a circus artist and dancer. In 2009 she started the FLIC circus School (Turin, Italy) where she specializes in tight wire.
In 2012 she completes her formation in Brussels by attending contemporary dance workshops and masterclasses. This discipline turns out to be not only a big passion of hers, but also a source of inspiration that would influence more and more her technique on the tight wire, and her whole artistic resarch .
In 2014 she moved to Barcelona where she discovers the artistic community of La Central del Circ, and where she starts in the end of 2015 the creation of her first solo piece, “Ballata per un’Ananas”.
From 216 to 2020 she make parts of Collettivo Terzo Livello, a collective of circus artists involved in experimental multidisciplinary laboratories, in order to create site-specific performances. The group is supported by La Central de Circ, De Mar a Mar (POCTEFA) and Institut Ramon Lull.
In 2018 she starts to pratice hair hamging, which becomes her main discipline. Within the framework of the European project De Mar a Mar (POCTEFA) she has participated in the creation of the show “Flou Papagayo” with the company Mumusic Circus (premiere done at Feria d’Igualada 2018).
In 2019-2020 he participates in the creation of the 24è Circ d’Hivern of the Ateneu Ppopular 9Barris, with the show “SOPA, i el que el vent no s’emportà”, directed by Marçel Vidal Castell and Marine Forteau, members of the company Marçel et ses droles de Femmes.
In 2021 she starts the creation of a new show call “Vermut a Venus” with the company La Sistars. The project is supported by La Central del Circ, Estruch Fabrica de Creaciò, Festival Escena Poble Nou and La Cascade (FR). Premiere scheduled for 2023.
In 2022 she works at Krystallpalast Varitè (Leipzig, Germany), with the hair hanging number in the cabaret “Reine Nerven Sache”.
